I will work even harder to fulfil my duty. I believe every single effort counts to help bring about a major change
My decision to join the teams of polio vaccinators was more than looking for a source of income; it has been very fulfilling spiritually. I believe that whatever I’m doing is helping children grow up healthily.
After seeing my children off to school, I go to the heath facility to collect my vaccination gear. I spend about five hours in the field before coming back home to receive my kids and make them lunch. Then I go back to the field to cover the remaining households. Once the target is achieved I go to the health facility to submit the documents and data collected from the field.
It is my duty and passion to see all children embrace life with dignity. The whole effort needs to be aimed at vaccinating each and every child under five years.
The risk of contracting polio is not limited to one single child because the virus can be transmitted to other children living in that environment.
