Islamabad, February 17, 2015: In an official statement issued from the office of Prime Minister’s Focal Person on Polio, Ms. Ayesha Raza Farooq strongly condemned the brutal killing of polio workers along with two Levis security personals in Zhob, Balochistan. She conveyed the deepest sorrow on the incident with the grieved families. “Our brave polio workers are indeed frontline soldiers of humanity serving to protect the future of Pakistan, expressed Ms. Ayesha Raza Farooq in the statement.

Ms. Ayesha Raza Farooq urged the Provincial Government to book the perpetrators for this inhuman activity as early as possible. “The prime sacrifice of polio workers and security personals in line of duty will not be forgotten and culprits will be taken to task”, she further added.

According to the information of the National Emergency Operations Centre, the bodies are identified as one Area Incharge, one driver and two levies security persons. They were kidnapped on 13th Feb 2015 in Magha Kibzai area while they were on their way to UC Barkwal to deliver logistics for polio.
